Going through the long list of school subjects would not be what you would call "chicken feed". I detested some, especially Pilipino because it was so confusing. Who would know the difference between a "kaganapang pansimuno" and a "pambalanang pantangi". If you ask me, I never did get to understand more than 10% of what they taught me. This isn't so bad. Some people who started life conversing in Pilipino now vow they will speak English for the rest of their lives.
